A detached front control arm can result in the loss of control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The front lower control arms may corrode and detach from the vehicle cross member. Dealers will inspect the front cross members and either apply a sealing anti-corrosion agent or replace the front cross member depending on the severity of existing corrosion free of charge to resolve the concern.
Recalls on your Mitsubishi must be performed by a Mitsubishi dealership. Mitsubishi will notify known owners of affected vehicles (a timetable of this notification is unavailable as of the time of this writing). If you do receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Mitsubishi dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
