Third Row Seat Backs Loosen

Recall Details

The third row seat backs may loosen and detach from the seat frame. Dealers will re-torque the third row seat back nuts free of charge to resolve the concern.

What Should You Do?

Recalls on your Chrysler or Dodge must be performed by a Chrysler or Dodge dealership, respectively. Chrysler will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in late June, 2016. If you do receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Chrysler or Dodge dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.

Summary
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country vehicles manufactured March 16, 2016, to March 17, 2016. The nuts on the third row seatbacks were incorrectly torqued and may become loose.
Consequence
If the third row seatback becomes loose, it may separate from the seat frame, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will re-torque the third row seatback nuts, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin June 30, 2016. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S37.
