The front suspension upper control arms may have welds that are not sufficient, resulting in separation of the arm from the bushing. Dealers will replace both the left and right upper control arms and realign the vehicle suspension free of charge to resolve the concern.

Recalls on your Chevrolet or GMC truck must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors will begin notifying known owners of affected vehicles in May, 2016. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. How long it takes to fix a recall depends on many different factors:

How many vehicles are affected by the recall? How complex is the problem to fix? How many different parts are involved in the repair? Are the repair parts available? How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
