Audio Warning Fails To Sound When Key In Ignition With Door Open Or Seat Belt Unfastened

Recall Details

The audio warning that sounds to alert the driver that the safety belt is not fastened or the door is open with the key still in the ignition may not operate. Dealers will update the radio software free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

The audio warning that sounds in the vehicle to alert the driver that the key is in the ignition when the doors are opened or seat belts are unfastened may fail to operate. This can result in the driver inadvertently forgetting the door is open, or forgetting to fasten the seat belt, resulting in a safety risk.
