Brakes
Internal damage to brake booster could result in a loss of brake assist, lengthening the distance needed to stop the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
The brake booster may be contaminated with engine oil, causing loss of braking assistance. Dealers will inspect the brake boosters and replace ones that have evidence of contamination, along with the vacuum pump, vacuum tube assembly and master cylinder. If no contamination is found, dealers will replace only the vacuum tube assembly. These repairs will be made free of charge to resolve the concern.
Recalls on your Dodge must be performed by a Dodge dealership. Dodge will notify owners of affected vehicles (a timetable for this notification is not available as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Dodge dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
