Brakes
If the parking brake bracket separates, the parking brake may not hold the vehicle, increasing the risk of a vehicle roll away and a crash.
The brackets that secure the left and right parking brake cables may become detached because of a failure of the fasteners that secure them. This can prevent the parking brake from holding the vehicle. The dealer will inspect the fasteners and tighten them as necessary free of charge to resolve the problem.
General Motors began notifying owners of affected vehicles in March 2015. If you are having a problem using your parking brake, or want to see if your vehicle is included in this program, you can contact your dealer. It is helpful to have your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on hand when you contact them. The General Motors recall number is 15135.
