Engine
If the battery positive cable loosens, an electrical short may result, increasing the risk of a fire. If the FEAD belt looses or detaches, the vehicle may lose power assisted steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
The under hood engine belt, power steering pump pulley and/or battery positive cable could separate from the vehicle, resulting in a short or loss of vehicle control. Dealers will inspect the affected engine mounted components for the proper threading and torque, correcting them as necessary free of charge to resolve the concern.
Recalls on your Jaguar must be performed by a Jaguar dealership. Jaguar notified known owners of affected vehicles beginning in November, 2014. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Jaguar dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
