The under hood engine belt, power steering pump pulley and/or battery positive cable could separate from the vehicle, resulting in a short or loss of vehicle control. Dealers will inspect the affected engine mounted components for the proper threading and torque, correcting them as necessary free of charge to resolve the concern.

Recalls on your Jaguar must be performed by a Jaguar dealership. Jaguar notified known owners of affected vehicles beginning in November, 2014. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Jaguar dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. How long it takes to fix a recall depends on many different factors:

How many vehicles are affected by the recall? How complex is the problem to fix? How many different parts are involved in the repair? Are the repair parts available? Has the dealership received the parts for the repair yet? Do dealership technicians have training to conduct the specific repair? How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you. Even if your vehicle's warranty has expired and you are not the original owner of the vehicle, you are still eligible to have any open safety recalls on your vehicle repaired.
