When shifting the transmission from park to drive, the transmission may improperly engage the reverse gear for 1.5 seconds prior to engaging drive, even when showing drive on the shift lever position display. This could result in unexpected movement of the vehicle in the improper direction, and result in injury or an accident.

Recalls on your Ford truck must be performed by a Ford dealership. Ford began notifying known owners of affected vehicles in May, 2014.
