If the air bag warning label detaches from the visor, the driver and front seat passenger may not be warned of the risks of air bag deployment, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Certain vehicles are being recalled because the required airbag warning label mounted on each of the sunvisors may peel off. Without the warning label, front seat occupants may not know the risks of airbag deployment, increasing the risk of injury should they deploy during a crash. Owners will be instructed how to inspect the label. If necessary dealers will replace the sunvisor as necessary.
General Motors will notify owners beginning October 28, 2013. If you don't receive notification and you feel you should, please contact your dealer for further instruction. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call. The General Motors recall number is 13284.
