Brakes
THIS COULD RESULT IN A LOSS OF ABILITY TO BRAKE AND a vehicle CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.
The retaining nut for the brake booster pushrod at the brake pedal may not have been tightened correctly during vehicle assembly. The nut could loosen and allow the pushrod to separate from the brake pedal. This would result in loss of braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect the pushrod retention nut and tighten it to the correct specification if necessary. The General Motors recall number is 11318.
General Motors will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning November 1, 2011. Most vehicles will display no symptoms related to this recall. If you have loss of braking ability, or you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It's helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you call.
