The bolt attaching the intermediate steering shaft to the steering gear may not have been properly installed. The steering shaft may separate from the steering gear, which may cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect and repair the intermediate shaft/steering gear connection as necessary to assure the shaft is properly assembled. No schedule for owner notification is available at this time.
