Suspension & Steering
IF POWER STEERING FLUID SPRAYS ONTO HOT ENGINE PARTS, AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE COULD OCCUR.
The high pressure power steering line may have a damaged crimp, and may leak fluid as a result. Dealers will inspect and replace affected power steering lines free of charge to resolve the concern.
General Motors notified owners of affected vehicles starting in November 2010. You can check with your dealer to see if your vehicle is involved in this program. It is helpful to have your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on hand when you contact them.
