Recall 10V025000

A Rollover Crash May Affect the Roof Structure

Recall Details

The windshield is bonded to its framework, not only creating a watertight seal, but contributing to the structural integrity of the roof. 210 vehicles were assembled with insufficient bonding in the upper right area of the windshield. In the event of a roll over type crash, the stability of the roof could be affected, increasing the risk of injury. Dealers will remove and reinstall the windshield and re-install it with the proper bonding to correct this concern.

Our Quick Take

Incorrect installation of the windshield can weaken the stability of the roof in a roll-over type crash.
