IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG MAY NOT PROPERLY INFLATE AND MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PROPERLY PROTECT AN OCCUPANT, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURIES.
Wiring may be reversed on the steering column control module driver's air bag connector and cause the driver air bag not to deploy. If the driver's air bag does not inflate when needed, the risk of injuries to the driver is increased. Dealers will inspect the driver's air bag squib wires and replace the steering column control module. The recall began in May, 2009. The recall number is J13.
We at RepairPal have designated this a high priority recall; the air bag may not deploy as designed. Please contact your Dodge or Jeep dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
