THE DRIVER COULD POTENTIALLY LOSE CONTACT WITH THE STEERING WHEEL OR FOOT PEDALS DURING SUCH AN EVENT, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
For vehicles equipped with high back seats, bolts that attach and connect to the tubular seat back frames may fracture or loosen. This could allow the seats to recline back until making contact with an object behind the seat or the second row seat cushion. This can lead to loss of vehicle control and an accident.
You must visit a Ford dealership to perform recall repairs on your Ford vehicle. April, 2006 is the date of first customer contact by Ford. If not notified, you can check to see if your vehicle is included in this or any other recall by contacting one of your local Ford dealerships. Be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Ford recall number is 03S04.
