The hydraulic seals in the brake master cylinder may have been installed incorrectly. As a result, the master cylinder could fail without warning, increasing the risk of a crash, Dealers will replace the master cylinder to correct this concern. This recall is expected to begin on June 28, 2005. The Mitsubishi recall number is SR-05-003.

How long it takes to fix a recall depends on many different factors:

How many vehicles are affected by the recall? How complex is the problem to fix? How many different parts are involved in the repair? Are the repair parts available? How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
