IF THE TIRE IS OPERATED IN AN UNDER-INFLATED CONDITION, THE LOAD CARRYING CAPACITY OF THE VEHICLE MAY BE COMPROMISED, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The tire information label may show the maximum tire pressure of 32PSI when it should be 35PSI. As a result, the load ratio for the 205/65R15 94H and the 215/60R16 95H tires exceed the levels permitted. If the tire is operated in an under-inflated condition, the load carrying capacity of the vehicle may be compromised, increasing the risk of a crash. Owners will be provided with a corrected label they can apply to their vehicle, or they can have a dealer install the label if desired. The Mazda recall number is 2140F.
Mazda will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning July 16, 2004. There are no symptoms related to this recall. If you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It's helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you call.
