Incorrect Airbag Warning Label

Some vehicles were produced with an airbag warning label intended for the Canadian market. The labels contain warnings in both English and French. As a result, the area of the English warning is only 16 square centimeters as opposed to the 30 square centimeters as required by Federal standards. Owners will be provided with correct airbag caution labels and installation instructions which were mailed on July 22, 2004. The Mazda recall number is 1804C.

Mazda will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning July 22, 2004. If your airbag warning label is in French and English, or you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It's helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you call.
