Suspension & Steering
THIS COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL, POTENTIALLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT WARNING.
Ford has recalled certain 1997 Expedition, F150, and F250 vehicles because the intermediate steering shaft yoke may separate from the steering gear input shaft. If separation occurs, there may be a loss of steering control. Dealers will inspect the intermediate shaft yoke to verify that it is fully seated on the steering gear input shaft. If it is not, the intermediate shaft and bolt will be replaced.
