For trucks equipped with Cummins Diesel engines and manual transmissions, trucks may experience an elevated idle speed after extended cruise control use. This can result in unintended acceleration and a reduction in braking effectiveness, increasing the risk of a crash.

You must visit a Ram dealership to perform recall repairs on your Ram truck. The schedule for Chrysler to contact known owners of affected vehicles was during March, 2003. Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
