THIS CONDITION COULD OVERHEAT THE STARTER WIRING, CREATING THE POTENTIAL FOR A VEHICLE FIRE.
The starter motor wiring may ground due to separation of equipped plastic terminal blocks from then start motor body. This would result in overheating and the risk of fire.
You must visit a Dodge dealership to perform recall repairs on your Dodge vehicle. The schedule for Chrysler to contact known owners of affected vehicles was during December, 2000. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Dodge dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
