Chrysler Recalls 2001 Dodge Rams Due to Braking Problems

Recall Details

Chrysler has recalled certain 2001 Dodge Ram 1500/2500 quad cab pickup models because the upper control arms can cause the bolts to stretch due to the application of a higher than specified clamp load. If the fasteners break, the axle may rotate forward when braking. This rotation may twist the steering linkage and separate the brake lines. Dealers will replace the upper control arm bolts and nuts.
