Suspension & Steering
THIS ROTATION COULD TWIST THE STEERING LINKAGE AND POSSIBLY SEPARATE THE BRAKE LINES, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The front axle of the vehicle may rotate forward when braking due to the upper control arm bolts breaking. This rotation may twist the steering linkage and separate the brake lines, which can lead to loss of vehicle control and an accident.
You must visit a Ram dealership to perform recall repairs on your Ram truck. The schedule for Chrysler to contact known owners of affected vehicles was during October, 2000. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ram truck dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Chrysler recall number is 955.
