The supplied labels could cause confusion as to whether the child safety lock is activated. This could cause a safety issue. Chrysler supplied the proper labels to the customer to be installed.

Summary
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. THE AFFECTED VEHICLES WERE BUILT WITH INCORRECT CHILD LOCK INSTRUCTION LABELS.
Consequence
THE INCORRECT LABELS COULD CAUSE CONFUSION AS TO WHETHER THE CHILDPROOF SAFETY LOCK WAS ACTIVATED.
Remedy
OWNERS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH CORRECT LABELS.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN MARCH 27, 2000.OWNERS WHO DO NOT RECEIVE THE CORRECT LABELS WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT DAIMLERCHRYSLER AT 1-800-992-1997. ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).
