Chrysler Recalls 2000 Dodge Rams Due to Poor Weld on Control Arm Bracket

Recall Details

Chrysler has recalled certain 2000 Dodge Ram 1500/2500 models because the welds at the right side lower control arm bracket to axle tube attachment may have inadequate fatigue life due to poor weld quality. This can cause the control arm bracket to separate from the axle tube. This may result in reduced directional stability, braking degradation, and/or vehicle pull under braking. Dealers will replace the front axle with a properly welded front axle.
