trunk lid latch motor continues to run after lid is closed. don't want to burn motor up, but want lid closed. If I unhook the power to it the lid will latch but wont close down. What is the solution?
Trunk pull down motor kept running, so I removed the fuse (located in trunk on left side). I use the trunk now like it doesn't have this feature.
My truck was also doing the same thing. I cleaned under the switch where it latches with brake cleaner fluid and now it works great
Trunk would close, but motor would not shut off. Disabled motor, now trunk will not tightly close. Help me please, thank you
No solution. Cadillac dealer "jerry-rigged" latch to keep trunk closed. Supposedly, part needed was no longer available? It has been fine since but automatic trunk release no longer works.
It seens when it cold, the trunk lid does not close.I put wd 40,in the locks. It happen only when the weather is cold outside.
