the owners manual lists three different type axles and different viscosity Gear Oils for them, but no way of matching the tag-ID of the axle to anything in the book. Anybody have an idea? PS: thank you monkyrench for answering my last one on the torque converter.

Castrol recommends GL 5 75w-140 full synthetic for non traction lok rear axle and for traction lok rear axles ( identification is located on label on door lock pillar and will include a letter ) Castrol recommends GL 5 75w-140 full synthetic plus 8 oz of friction modifier ( makes the posi traction work ) friction modifier is in addition to the GL 5 and comes in a separate container
