Radio Blew Fuses

What is your question?

Day 1,I was trying to turn the volume down on the radio and it was very slow in doing so.The numbers were going back and forth from high to low then back to previous higher numbers,but eventually to the desired lower level I wanted. Day 2,The radio stopped playing,screen went black.Fuse was changed twice,of course,to no avail.(It played a little before blowing out after each fuse change.)I really need help with this.....Helen
