This could be a wiring problem, but it sounds like the radio is going bad on you.

if it is a stock radio, its gone bad. I had the same problem.

My radio does the same thing i put a tape in it and it hits something and starts working fine but you must leave the tape in.

its internal, replace it like i did n u have no trouble at all.
