Check engine light on. Code PO17100

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. P0171 is a "bank one lean" code for fuel trim. I don't know about those extra zero's. I also don't know about an "oil trap" - and how it would have anything to do with fuel deliery and potential air or vacuum leaks. As I believe you have a 4 cylinder engine - this means that your engine has one bank - and this means you could have a vacuum leak causing extreme air to get into the engine, making fuel scarce in relation.
