OK. The MAF Sensor could definitely cause this issue. Sometimes these are damaged because the airbox thermostat is stuck open, allowing hot air to always be delivered into the airbox. Here's the thermostat I'm referring to: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-engine-air-box-thermostat-1266826
Make sure you check and fix that if it's stuck open.
