Winter traction battery preheat?

What is your question?

During a Manitoba Canada winter would some sort of traction battery preheat (electric) help with fuel saving? Here we plug in our block heaters to keep the ICE engine coolant and oil a bit 'less frigid' during the nights, or even during the work day when temps are below perhaps minus 20C. Any ideas on this? I ve not Priused a winter yet.
