has a new battery but car will not start

It's likely that you are having a problem with your starter or starter solenoid. It's also possible that there is a draw on the battery, which drained your new battery. You should have your starting and charging system thoroughly tested and diagnosed.
I had the same problem with my 93 paseo. after investigating a little i found that on the clutch pedal there was a hole that used to have a little black plastic nub in it that would press the switch when you pressed the clutch down. with that peice gone the switch wasnt being pushed so the car wasnt starting, just as if i never pressed the clutch. that hole just needed to be pluged up. i used tape and it worked fine
Dude, you rock! I want to kiss you! My '92 Paseo just stopped starting in the middle of the intersection last night. Battery was fine, my first thought was starter or something with ignition. Before I tried to pop start or get it towed, I found this post and plugged up the hole on the cluch. Voila! It started! Thanks again!
