What is your question?
The parking-brake on my 2002 Toyota MR2 Spyder no-longer prevents the car from rolling away. I have taken my car to a local Toyota-dealership four (4) times, in-order to have the parking-brake repaired. After each visit, the parking-brake works for a few days, and then it again refuses to hold the car. The Toyota-mechanic told me that he tightened the cable as much as he could, and that if he tightened it any more, then the cable would snap. Rather than tell me that he would research this problem in-order to find a solution, he told me that he could not fix the parking-brake. Imagine that: a Toyota-dealership sent me away with a Toyota-vehicle that is not road-worthy! After searching YouTube, I found some videos that illustrate possible solutions to my MR2 Spyder's parking-brake problem. I do not have the tools, the knowledge, or the facilities to repair my car, so I must find a mechanic who is located within range of my house. I live in Brooklyn, New York. Thank you for your help!
How long has your 2002 Toyota MR2 Spyder had this problem?

Yes, please do find a local technician who is qualified and skilled near you -- either at a different Toyota dealership, or try this link for some shops near you: https://repairpal.com/repair-shops/toyota-repair-and-service-in-brooklyn-new-york
