My Mr2 spyder won't shift out of first, but still shifts to reverse and neutral.

Hi my Mr2 won't shift to second but still shifts to reverse and neutral. It was sitting out side for a couple months not under cover, do you think that may have something to do with it? Does anyone have a solution for this??

What makes this problem better or worse?

I did notice that shifting was getting a little sticky.

How long has your 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder had this problem?
