What is your question?
I just got the car last week and over the past few days I hear/ feel a clunking or thumping (seems to usually happen when I'm braking). I would say every two or three times I hit my brakes. Feels like it's under my feet or under the front/ driver's side somewhere. Doesn't affect steering, accelerating or braking.
How long has your 2001 Toyota Echo had this problem?
Past week

Hello, any time there is a clunking when braking, the brake system and the steering and suspension systems should be checked. Clunking can be due to brake component operation or possibly the movement of worn steering or suspension components. Because braking causes the shifting of vehicle weight in an effort to stop it, anything loose may move unintentionally.
