If my 01echo don't warm up the engine dies when you put it in gear and the power brakes don't work til it's warmed up
What makes this problem better or worse?
It's worse when it's cold rough idle and die when I try to get it in gear
How long has your 2000 Toyota Echo had this problem?

This sounds like a case where some hands on inspection is needed. When I think of power brakes and how they are related to engine performance, I think of engine vacuum -- which supplies the "power" to the power brake booster. If you have an air leak, it can cause stalling and a loss of engine vacuum. Focus initial attention there.
