poor gas mileage

Do you have a check engine light on? I have seen this problem before when the air flow sensor on the Echo goes bad, sometimes it sets a light sometimes you loose power and gas mileage decrease. You can try cleaning the sensor using only a product CRC product # 05110 and or have it tested using a scan tool measuring air flow figures into the engine under load.
