Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. If your XL-7 runs briefly with starting fluid, it points toward a fuel delivery issue rather than ignition. While the fuel pump and crank sensor are new, a few other things could be causing trouble. Check the fuel pressure regulator to make sure it's not malfunctioning, as it controls the pressure in the fuel rail and could cut fuel if it fails. A clogged fuel filter could also restrict the fuel flow, causing it to stall quickly after starting. Lastly, verify that the fuel pump receives the necessary power and ground. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
