Headlights

Dim headlights are probably high resistance in the circuit, not a short. Check the ground wires for the headlights and check the voltage at the headlights, it should be at least 12 volts.

On my 2001, the headlight plugs both melted. Replacement plug is about $10 @ local parts shop and pretty easy to replace. The melting was evident if you unplug the lights, the recepticle is melted and may be cracked.
