Opened bonnet and lost all user data on GPS, Bluetooth and Radio - why?

I have 2015 Suzuki Grand Vitara. Just recently purchased as a used vehicle. It has been performing well but today lifted the bonnet for the first time and refilled wiper washer tank. Then found all user data on the Radio, Bluetooth and GPS Navigator had been deleted. Please explain why and does a fix exist or is this going to happen every time we open the bonnet.
