What is your question?
Getting the same P0401 code. EGR manifold and exhaust line are free from carbon build up. This is causing a misfire only when idling not when in load
What makes this problem better or worse?
In load it does not misfire
How long has your 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara had this problem?
Weeks

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! A P0401 code on your 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara is like your EGR system waving the white flag, saying, "Hey, I'm not flowing enough!" Since you've cleared the carbon build-up, the next suspects are the EGR valve itself or the EGR solenoid. That misfire at idle but not under load suggests the valve might be sticking open slightly, or there's a vacuum leak somewhere, allowing unmetered air into the mix. It’s like trying to play your favorite song with a missing note—things just sound off.
