Finish question : Does anyone know what year Chev Tracker and Suzuki Grand Vitara quit having emissions equipment installed? Sorry if this sounds like my "wording" isn't good, but I hear that the catalytic converter is why I'm not getting good gas mileage with my second Chev. Tracker. My first Chevrolet tracker was AMAZING gas mileage. (2001). I am looking at buying a 2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara, and I don't want to run into the same problem - hoping it will perform like my first Tracker gas wise. I am also looking at a 2007 Suzuki GV, and was hoping someone would know what year they improved the emissions issue.
