Does the 2015 XV Crosstrek make an audible sound, while backing up, when the car is getting close to an object?

I am the original owner of this vehicle and since day one the car has made and audible sound when I back up and get too close to an object. This feature has stopped working, and when I brought it in to the dealership for repair they said that my car was never equipped with that feature. I do have the Eyesight Assist package. My extended warranty expires at the end of the month and I would like to take care of this problem before then. Thanks, Jeff

Hello, well clearly the dealership should know what your car is and is not equipped with. I don't know what you could have been hearing, if you did indeed hear a beeping coming close to objects. If your car is so equipped, you would see little round sensors in the bumpers. If there are no sensors in the bumpers that you cans, your car is not equipped and I am not sure what you were hearing before.
