My voltage regulator is bad...already... How do I go about replacing it?

i took it in to o'reillys after having charged up my battery thinking that the battery was the issue. They tested it and it came back as good. We went out to the car hooked it back up and the guy put his machine on it and it came back that it was the voltage regulator that's messing up. My car won't start the first time and before it died completely I had almost every indicator light illuminating randomly. It's got a really rough idle when at a stop and will randomly die.
