my brakes sound like they're grinding but checked pads and rotors and they're ok

Make sure all the brake anti-rattle and securing hardware is in place, make sure the brake pad material thickness and make of b/pads are good as well as the surface finish of the rotors are good.

I did all of that. The only thing I notice is that the brake anti rattle and securing hardware is missing on that side where I hear the grinding.
