my saab 9-5 is acting up, several lights are on on the dashboard, a triagle one

Have the alternator tested but first, with the vechicle off, Use a multimeter in this fashion. Touch the multimeter red to red on battery and get your read. Then touch the red to the alternator wire and the black to the battery. If the read is zero than the link or fuse between the two needs replaced because the alternator's power is not getting to the battery.
