Can the IAT sensor wires be lengthened?

2017 Ram 2500 Cummins. Had to relocate the IAT sensor about 5 inches due to a modification I made. Can I lengthen the two sensor wires about 5" without affecting the sensor readings? I'm worried about resistance. Thank you in advance. ~Mike

I've gone a lot more than 5 inches with no issues at all. Wasn't on a new Ram but I don't think it will hurt anything. You can always try it and if it doesn't work just put it back to stock. Also, you may want to find a forum or FB group for the new Rams and post up there. Alex
