I changed the radiator and fan and my truck still over heats

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. What was the cause of overheating in the first place -- or at least the component replacement? Is it possible there is still an air pocket in the cooling system after system repairs? This can simulate engine overheating when it's merely a purge of an air bubble. Without knowing more of the background, it's hard to make a recommendation.
