What is your question?
I removed transmission to work on cooler hose. After I put transmission back and reconnected harness, I tried to start truck but gear shift selector knob is stuck on reverse. Do I need to have someone reset it with a computer or is there something I need to do?

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. I do not think any diagnostic tool is required to do anything. I would certainly verify that your wiring harness has no damage and that the connector is seated fully without any corrosion, contamination, or pin movement. I would say that the likelihood something got disturbed with the wiring and/or connector is the highest in this case. Perhaps seek guidance at a local shop near you if you do not have the adequate means or equipment to perform needed circuit testing in the wiring, or wiring diagrams that illustrates what to look for and where. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
