What is your question?
I recently bought a 2011 Ram 1500. It has keyless entry but did not come with a key fob, so I had one programmed. At first, the unlock and lock buttons would not work but the fob would start the truck when inserted into the ignition. I replaced the IOD fuse with another fuse from the box and the unlock and lock buttons would work. So, I pulled the fuse and drove to the parts store to get a brand new one. Once I got home, I replaced the IOD fuse again with the new fuse, but the lock and unlock buttons are back to not working. The key fob still starts the truck when inserted into the ignition, but I can’t get the lock and unlock buttons to work.

Hi! This is Bo with Car Genius! This problem sounds mysterious and frustrating! If the Fob you had programmed isn't an OEM fob from the dealer, you may want to start there. I've seen some issues similar with aftermarket fobs. My only other ideas are the door lock module could be faulty. Have you checked the fuse you replaced to see if it's blown? That could indicate an electrical fault. If you have any other questions feel free to give us a call at 877-913-1554! We'll be happy to help or find you a certified shop in your area!
